A group project from my bachelor’s degree was the app NUA which aids to assist people going through menopause. It gives information, provides a community and creates the opportunity to track your symptoms. All shown screens are my own design.

In my bachelor’s we got many opportunities to develop our own products. Together with 2 other team mates I created YUMI – Your hormone tracker. We created a clickable prototype using Figma and then developed the app using Flutter & Dart.

The following prototype was developed as part of my bachelor’s thesis and demonstrates the core concept and functionality of my research project.

SCHOOL

I’ve always loved engaging in social settings. I was voted for class representative four years in a row and was actually a leading board member of the prom comittee. I successfully helped organize a prom with over 4.000 attendees all while graduating and batteling the COVID-19 pandemic.

UNIVERSITY

I’ve been volunteering as an “International Buddy” which means I am the contact person for an incoming exchange student. I’ve also taken part in the program 1day@FH which offers students to take part in classes for a day and get an insight of university life. As I’m very enthusiastic about my studies I posed for several news articles and am also presented on the course’s website.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

In my freetime I volunteer as a skiing instructor for my local skiing club. I teach children from the age of 5 to 10. This role has enhanced my pedagogical skills, requiring the ability to convey skiing concepts in a child-friendly manner while adapting to each child’s unique learning pace. Additionally, effective communication with both the children and their parents, patience in fostering a positive learning environment, and a strong emphasis on safety awareness are crucial aspects of my role.

Since I got my first drawing pad I started getting into illustrations. I experimented a lot with colours and different brushes and techniques but found my passion in the actual design. I enjoy creating art but I get really passionate about ‘making things beautiful’. Thanks to classes like ‘User Experience Design’, ‘Visual Design’ and ‘Media Design’ I learned a lot about this topic and would love to deepen my knowledge and gain experience in this field.

In the class ‘Media design’ we had to create a Corporate Identity for a business. Using my Adobe skills I created the logo and used it for several different product mockups.

In my third semester we had a class that was called photography design. We learned a lot about correct lighting, playing with shapes and size and of course how to operate a camera correctly. I’ve also wanted to portrait some of my photos as it is something I enjoy doing and would love to improve in.
